The Crayon Box Preschool offers an art-based Spanish immmersion program that values each child's creativity. We are open year-round and offer full and part-time care from 8am - 6pm for children ages two through five. We provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. For everyone's safety, we are a nut free school. Sample menu available here.
Admissions
The Crayon Box Preschool has a rolling admission process that includes the following steps:
Campus Visit – Call our office to check availability and to schedule an appointment. This initial parent visit includes a tour of the school and an overview of what we offer. For Fall admission, please call to schedule your appointment in January. The tours, led by the Director, are offered in the mornings beginning in February. Tour dates are subject to availability.
Application – You will receive an application during your campus visit. A completed application requires a $75 non-refundable registration fee and a two week deposit applicable to your tuition.
Student Visit – Upon acceptance, a half-day visit for incoming students is encouraged and provides an opportunity to become familiar with the school by spending a day in the classroom and meeting potential classmates.
Open House – An Open House shortly before the school year begins offers parents the opportunity to meet students, faculty, and administrators; hear about our curriculum and extracurricular programs; and meet other TCBP parents!

Nap Time
Nap time is from 1pm-3pm. Children are not required to sleep, but are strongly encouraged to rest.
Potty Training
We encourage potty training for children entering the three's classsroom, but it is not required.

5:00 - Indoor quiet activities. Clean up. Children depart

Siblings
Siblings of currently enrolled students are guaranteed a spot. Please notify the Director the January prior to the desired fall start date in order to reserve a spot.
Tuition
Tuition is due every other Monday. Full time rates for 2011-2012 are $280 per week for 2 year olds and $260 per week for 3-5 year olds. Part time 2011-2012 rates are $65 per day for 2 year olds and $60 per day for 3-5 year olds. Children must attend a minimum of three days per week. We participate in the Children's Council and Wu Yee tuition assistance programs. Space in these programs can be limited and preference will be given on a first come, first served basis. Fees will be applied for late pick-ups.
Uniforms
Students at the Crayon Box are required to wear uniforms while at preschool. We believe uniforms give every child a sense of equality. The uniform consists of unadorned navy blue shirts and khaki pants, shorts or skirts. Girls also have the option of wearing a navy plaid or khaki jumper with a white or navy shirt. Many vendors supply uniform clothing for toddlers, such as French Toast, Sears, JC Pennys, Lands' End, and The Children's Place which carries elastic waist pants and shorts (recommended for potty training). The Parent Association collects and sells gently used uniforms that children have outgrown for a fraction of the cost of new ones. They are available in the Office. We request that all children keep a sweater or jacket and a spare set of clothes in their cubbies in case of accidents or spills.
